People from all walks of life learn Reiki for a variety of reasons. Many people have received Reiki treatments and have enjoyed them so much they would like to experience being able to channel Reiki to help themselves in between treatments. Others feel they would like to be able to help family/friends/pets by offering them Reiki, as well as helping themselves. Some people work with people or animals in need and would like to use Reiki to help the vulnerable/weak.
Whatever the reason, many people find themselves "guided" to a specific teacher or course when the time is right.
One of the quickest decisions to learn Reiki that I've ever seen came after I'd given a lady her first Reiki treatment. Just minutes after I had just finished treating her she announced she'd like to book onto my next course - this was before she'd even sat up on the bed!

As we have learned to adapt to many different ways of communicating and meeting since March 2020, most of the courses I offer are now also available using Zoom as a meeting platform, instead of face-to-face live courses. This has become a very popular method of learning for many people, and the feedback I've received from students attending my courses online has been excellent. Ideally, you would need a willing volunteer (animal for animal courses) to carry out exercises. Please contact me for more details.
Where Are Courses Held?
The human Reiki and Drum courses are held in South Queensferry.
The Animal Reiki courses, which were previously held in Campmuir, Coupar Angus, are all currently being held via Zoom.
Course Material/Information
The course material I use for Shoden, Okuden and Shinpiden is high quality, professional material from Reiki Evolution. This is the same as I used when I was learning Reiki. I feel it is very important to teach the Original System (or as much of it as we know about it at present). It is a beautiful system, in which the energy flows incredibly easily.
I send the Course Pack out on receipt of your deposit, 4-6 weeks before the live course, to allow you to start learning straight away. I find this way of learning works incredibly well as it is a much more efficient way of retaining information. It also means you can turn up on the day of the live course already knowing a lot about Reiki - and there's no having to worry about taking notes - you can just relax and enjoy the course!
The Shoden course material consists of a 170 page, A4 sized book with accompanying CD, plus a Reiki Meditations CD.
The Okuden course material consists of a 110 page, A4 sized book and accompanying CD.
The Shinpiden course material consists of a 200 page, A4 sized book, 75 page Reiki Teaching Guide, 2 CDs, a DVD, and a book with inspiring articles about Reiki.
Canine/Animal Reiki 1: Foundation Canine/Animal Reiki Course
The main theme of these courses is to focus on the approach we take when giving Reiki to animals, allowing our intuition and the animals behaviour to guide our decision. The course consists of 1 full day of practical training. A manual, "The Complete Guide to Animal Reiki" is provided before the course, this manual serves both courses and is the perfect course companion.
In South Queensferry on the Canine Course we work 1:1 with dogs
In Coupar Angus on the Animal Course we work 1:1 with dogs, horses and chickens
Canine/Animal Reiki 2: Advanced Canine/Animal Reiki Course
The ‘Animal Reiki Advanced Practitioner Course’ is the next step in using Reiki with animals. The Advanced Practitioner course is for people wishing to learn more techniques and further themselves in the field of Animal Reiki. The Advanced course consists of one full day, plus re-reading ‘The Complete Guide to Animal Reiki’. This course consists of 1 full day of practical training, plus 3 case studies to be completed after the course on animals of your choice.
On completion of this course, persons with Reiki 1st degree plus Animal Reiki can work on their own animals. Students with Reiki Second Degree plus Animal Reiki can work on the public’s animals, providing they have the appropriate insurance.
Canine/Animal Reiki 3: Master Practitioner Course
This course is open to anyone who has completed Okuden (Reiki Second Degree), plus Canine/Animal Reiki courses 1 and 2.
What Is The Duration Of Each Course?
Shoden - the Shoden course is equivalent to more than two days, with the pre-course study and live course. The live part of the course runs for one day - 9:30am start with finish time usually no later than 5pm.
Okuden - the Okuden course is equivalent to a two day course. The live part of the course runs for one day - 9:30am start, with finish time usually no later than 5pm.
Shinpiden - the Shinpiden course is equivalent to a five day course The live part of the course runs for two days
- 9:30am start, with finish time usually no later than 5:30pm.
Canine & Animal Reiki Courses - these courses run from 10am-4:30/5pm (approx).
Reiki Drum Master Practitioner - this course runs from 10am-5:30pm (approx).
What is the Cost of Each Course?
Shoden - £160 (£80 deposit, with £80 to be paid on or before the day of the live course)
Okuden - £190 (£80 deposit, with £110 to be paid on or before the day of the live course)
Shinpiden - £497 (£147 deposit, with £350 to be paid on or before the first day of live course)

Coming from Another Lineage?
If you come from another lineage and have not been trained using Reiki Evolution material / the Original System of Reiki, I wouldn't expect you to re-do courses with me (although you are most welcome to if you wish, and many people do choose this option).
What I do is send out Shoden course material for anybody from another lineage attending an Okuden course so that you can become familiar with the traditional methods from Japan.
If you wish to attend the Shinpiden course but are from another lineage, I shall send Shoden plus Okuden course material to you, as well as your Shinpiden study pack. Please contact me for details of the price of this.
If you are coming from another lineage and do wish to attend the equivalent course to those that you have already attended then you can do this for a reduced price, with material supplied - please contact me for details.
For the Animal/Canine courses, you can be from any lineage.
